Don't underestimate the power of your linkedin.com account!  Linkedin is a very powerful way to find candidates and also land a new position.  It is now used in place of your resume for submitting information for job postings.  That is not the time to be thinking " I might need a new photo".   Email me. I want one! no matter what it's called

I was coming from a PhotoTour this morning and they were still shooting transformers 4 in our neighborhood.  I was able to capture some photos. I don't know what THIS is but I Totally want one.  I'll call it " parking made simple" or maybe "My Valet", cause Parking will always be available with this baby!

Resume Photos - Black & White or Color?

If you are in need of new resume photos, or have brought on new staff that needs their first photos for your pitch books or website, Black &white is an option that some companies still prefer. It is an attractive option and it gives a very consistent look to all of your photos. Give the idea of getting a black and white photo instead of the normal color photo. In some cases you may want to have both versions.  Ask your photographer if they offer both. 

Time to update your profile!

Is your profile photo Pale? Summer is wrapping up,the your co-workers are all rested, tan and looking good. Now is the perfect time to schedule new photos for your team. Give your web presence a little refresh that it needs. Maybe add some different looks that fit the style of work you do for your clients. A little more formal? maybe casual? or maybe just some new photos all together. Remember, people are visual creatures so use that to benefit your company. check your website and see if you are happy with your head shots and resume photos. Contact me if you want some options.

Spring in Chicago, Illinois

Ah, the colors of what you see when spring hits Chicago!

Chicago Wells St. Bridge being replaced this year. It was built in 1922 with Illinois Steel. Here is the current view.  Nothing like welding, hanging above a river with tour boats going underneath.  Anyway, this was today, Sunday April 28th 2013.

trying out a new lens in my neighborhood, Andersonville, in Chicago.  Swedish area, if you are not familiar with the colors. the lens is a 80-200 Nikon AF ED.  Not bad!

Sometimes the eyes are not in focus, but the meaning is not lost.  Guess who will remember this simple walk when they are 35!
